Bhopal: The groundwork for the grand festival of democracy is complete in Madhya Pradesh, with extensive preparations for the distribution of election materials. Bhopal, the capital, is equipped with 2,340 polling centers for the 7 assembly seats, among which 1,100 polling booths fall under the highly sensitive category. The Election Commission will monitor these booths through CCTV cameras installed in control rooms. Additionally, 111 booths in Bhopal will be exclusively managed by women.
In the capital, Bhopal, 120 model polling booths are being set up for the seven assembly constituencies, each receiving special embellishments. Notably, 510 sensitive centers in Bhopal will have micro-observers, ensuring a vigilant electoral process. Webcasting will be implemented in 1,100 booths, enhancing transparency.
The distribution of election materials will commence at Lal Parade Ground after a ceremonial handover on the morning of November 16. Political parties will then transport the materials to their respective centers. Micro-observers will be deployed at the sensitive centers to oversee the entire process, ensuring a fair and impartial election.
Bhopal district comprises seven assembly constituencies, namely Berasia, Bhopal North, Narela, Bhopal South-West, Bhopal Central, Govindpura, and Huzur. Govindpura, with 369 polling centers, records the highest number of voting centers, followed by Narela with 330, Huzur with 343, Berasia with 270, Bhopal North with 246, Bhopal South-West with 233, and Bhopal Central with 243 polling centers.
