Bhopal: Daughters of Madhya Pradesh have proved themselves once again to make everyone in the state proud. In the 67th National Shooting Championship 2024, they displayed great potential and brought four glittering medals for the state and put the state on the map as a sporting state. They were congratulated by the Minister of Sports and Youth Welfare and wished well for the future by the players.
In the 50m Rifle Junior Women Civilian Team, defending champs Yogeshwari Bais, Sharanya Lakhan, and Khushi Singh bagged gold. The victory of Nupur Kumarawat who rewarded a silver medal in the 50m Rifle Junior Women ISSF individual event in the competition also showed that there is one junior women who can focus and aim well.
The 50m Rifle Senior Women ISSF Team with Aashi Chouksey, Nupur Kumarawat, Suman Chauhan won another silver for the state and where their perfect co-ordination can be seen. At the same time in the 50m Rifle Junior Women Civilian Individual event Yogeshwari Bais also stepped to take a part in improving the tally of India by her good and consistent effort to reach at the third positions and qualify for a bronze medal.
Sports Minister Vishwas Sarang congratulated these achievements saying that, the daughters of Madhya Pradesh have placed the flag of states’ excellence across the nation. He also said that these victories will redefined direction of sports in the state and pave way for other sportsmen. The Minister also wished all the players and coaching staff at the successful team many heartfelt congratulations for a job well done.
These achievements underline the incremental process through which Madhya Pradesh is coming up in the sporting map of India and the future is full of promise for young icons committed to their passion for sports.
