Bhopal: On the occasion of Independence Day, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan proudly raised the flag at the renowned Lal Parade Ground in Bhopal. After the ceremonial parade salute CM Chouhan delivered a message that highlighted the achievements of both the central and state governments.

He passionately commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, acknowledging his role in shaping a strong and flourishing India. He emphasized, “Today our nation’s borders are secure. Our position is clear; while we have no intentions we will not hesitate to confront those who challenge our sovereignty.” Discussing the importance of this day, he underscored that even though India faced conflicts that led to subjugation for a period of time, it remained steadfast in its values. He poignantly stated, “While we gained independence we unfortunately missed out on an India. A historical misjudgment resulted in partition. Kashmir became an issue.”

In an announcement, CM Chouhan unveiled the “Mukhyamantri Jan Awas Yojana,” a housing initiative for the residents of the state. He pledged, “Today we commit to extending this program to those who may not be included under ‘Housing Plus yet. A dedicated housing scheme will be established for these individuals.

After conducting a survey, we will make sure to include them and make every effort to provide them with homes at no cost.
