Narmadapuram: The entire Madhya Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, will converge in the scenic hill station of Pachmarhi, under the Narmadapuram district, on June 3 for a special cabinet meeting. Preparations are in full swing, with approximately 900 police personnel deployed to ensure security for the high-profile gathering.

This marks a significant event for the region, as the Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav government is expected to make several pivotal decisions. Among the anticipated resolutions is the installation of a statue of Raja Bhabhut Singh, the erstwhile Jagirdar of Pachmarhi, in his memory. Furthermore, discussions are likely to include naming an institution in Narmadachal after Raja Bhabhut Singh to honor his heroic legacy. This mirrors a similar cabinet meeting held in Pachmarhi in March 2022 under the previous Shivraj government.

Beyond policy deliberations, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will also dedicate himself to local development. He is slated to inaugurate five development projects of the MP Tourism Department, collectively worth Rs 12.49 crore. These include a pink toilet lounge facility for women empowerment at Jatashankar and Pandav Caves (Rs 19 lakh), pathway development in the Jaistambh area (Rs 10 crore), a water supply pipeline to Dhoopgarh (Rs 60 lakh), beautification of Pachmarhi’s entrance (Rs 35 lakh), and renovations at Satpura Retreat (Rs 1 crore).

Additionally, the Chief Minister will perform Bhoomi Pujan for six new development works totaling Rs 21.39 crore. Notably, this includes the development of security and facilities for tourists at Handi Kho, a project valued at Rs 1.98 crore. The government’s presence in Pachmarhi underscores its commitment to regional development and heritage preservation.
