Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Government is scheduled to present the state budget of the year in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly session, which is to begin on March 10 and come to an end on March 17. Along with its traditional budget booklet, the Finance Department will introduce a QR code this year. The QR code is going to be made available well in advance, but will only get functional after the Finance Minister finishes his budget speech in the Assembly.
The state is likely to have a budget of more than ₹4 lakh crore for the fiscal. One of its innovations this year, of course, is the introduction of the e-book that can be accessed through the use of QR code. The e-book will be downloaded, and after that, it can be saved on mobiles for easy reference. The QR code will earlier be shared on social media platforms before the budget announcement in order to be accessible to as many people as possible. The budget details will be available only later when the Finance Minister finishes the speech, but even then, the budget help will only go a little way as the needs of our economy far outweigh it.
As a result of a total of 2,339 questions raised collectively by legislators from both the ruling and opposition blocs, the Assembly session will have active participation from the ruling and the opposition bloc as well. Of these 1,448 are starred questions and 1,419 are unstarred. The number of questions asked online also rose to 1,785 compared to 1,154 offline questions.
Among the highest number of questions related to the Panchayat and Rural Development Department and the Urban Administration Department. In addition, a large number of queries were received by the Revenue and Transport Departments. Surprisingly, 41 questions were raised regarding the Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Department, and 22 were raised for the Medium, Small and Micro Enterprises (MSME) Department. This is the first time a combined 63 questions shall be attracted by these two departments, which is understandably a majority of five to ten questions.
