Bhopal: Finance Minister Jagdish Deora will present Dr. Mohan Yadav’s government’s second budget on the third day of the Madhya Pradesh Assembly session. The budget is expected to exceed the mark of Rs 4 lakh crore and will become the biggest in the state’s history. On the subject of the welfare of the poor, women, youth, and farmers, according to sources, the budget will be prioritized.

Having announced that the budget is for the people of Madhya Pradesh, Finance Minister Deora made a major statement, ahead of the budget presentation. No new taxes were to be introduced, but he assured, relieving taxpayers. Speaking on the occasion, he also said that Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav had given this budget a knowledge-driven approach and worked on it as per the philosophy of inclusive development.

The finance minister further said that not only is the public participating in policymaking, but it has also received around 2,000 to 2,500 suggestions for this budget. In an attempt to highlight the vision of the government over the long term, he said that Madhya Pradesh would be an important state in India’s development by the year 2047. Substantial allocations will go to the irrigation, roads, electricity, education, and healthcare key sectors to drive infrastructural and social progress.

Deputy Chief Minister Deora brushed aside the opposition’s criticism saying its allegations were baseless and political. And he urged them to make the comparison between the state’s budget in 2003 and the current figures to know the huge progress made under the BJP government. Then, he mentioned that things were different – substantial investments in welfare and infrastructure have changed the economic landscape.

Finance Minister reiterated that the state and central governments have done much to empower women. He also promised to make this budget inclusive to the extent that it covered the needs of every class in the society. The draft was also drafted with expert recommendations to make it a well-rounded and growth-oriented budget.
