Chhatarpur: In an incident that took place in Chhatarpur district, Madhya Pradesh, a police team, from the Garhimalhara police station was attacked while trying to rescue a man who had been kidnapped in the village of Gaur. The information about the abduction prompted the police to take action. They faced a barrage of bricks and stones thrown by the criminals when they tried to free the victim from their clutches. As a result of this attack, three policemen, including TI Tikaram Kurmi, injuries.
Following this incident, a significant number of police personnel were immediately dispatched to the village. The kidnappers and attackers managed to escape leaving the youth behind. Subsequently the police filed a kidnapping case against five suspects. Successfully apprehended the perpetrator. Furthermore another case has been filed against 21 individuals involved in attacking the police team.
The ordeal began when Budhia Bai Kushwaha from Tikra village lodged a complaint with the police concerning her husbands kidnapping. Deepu alias Deepak, son of Jang Bahadur Rajput along with four accomplices from Singhpur were accused in this case. The Garhimalhara police station registered an IPC case under Sections 147 and 365 based on her complaint.
While searching for the missing teenager the police team arrived at the village associated with Deepak, the accused. They managed to locate Kishori Kushwaha. However as they attempted to rescue the teenager from Deepak Rajputs hold several individuals including Muli Rajput, Raju (also known as Rajbahadur Rajput) Mahesh Rajput, Rammilan Mishra and others launched an attack to hinder the rescue operation by throwing stones at the police force.
