Bhind: On Sunday morning, a major fire broke out at Priya Gold Biscuit Factory in the Malanpur police station area of the Bhind district of Madhya Pradesh. It caused panic among the workers and those living close by, as the fire broke out all of a sudden. Upon noticing the details, police and fire department teams rushed to the spot as soon as authorities were informed. At the time of reporting firefighting operations were still underway.
The flames were towering, and witnesses, it was reported, could see them from miles away. A thick billow of black smoke rose into the sky that could be seen from a number of kilometers. Fire tenders at the site include four and efforts have been made to control the blaze.
There have been no reports of casualties as yet. The damage to the factory is expected to have been severe, however, due to the fire. Because the flames spread so rapidly, several biscuit manufacturing machines and stocks of finished products could have been destroyed.
The cause of the fire is being investigated by authorities and safety officials are assessing the size of the damage. Firefighters battle the flames and local residents and factory workers wait for updates. If it needs more fire engines to become involved.
The incident demonstrates the need to have fire safety measures in the industrial areas. The cause of the fire is still unclear, but it is believed to have been caused by a short circuit or overheating of machinery. An update will be provided further as the situation evolves.
