Indore: The crime branch team has arrested 2 vicious miscreants who stole diamonds. Police said that on Sunday, information was received that 2 persons were roaming near Pardeshipura Shiv Mandir in a bid to sell stolen diamonds at low prices. As soon as the information was received, the crime branch team took immediate action and reached the place mentioned by the informer. Both the accused Teja alias Ashok son Antar Singh resident of village Gunawad district Dhar and Vicky alias Vikram son Satyanarayan Scindia resident of Chandan Nagar was arrested.
When the police searched, 55 diamonds were found from them. After this, the accused were strictly interrogated, they told that the diamonds were stolen from Gariaband, Chhattisgarh. Diamonds and two mobile phones have been confiscated from both the accused. The value of the confiscated goods is about. 3.5 Lakhs. A case has been registered against the accused under the Mining Act.
The team of Chandan Nagar Police Station and Crime Branch has arrested the accused who smuggled liquor from the car. On asking the name and address of the driver of the vehicle, he revealed his name as Vinayak alias Vinay Verma son of Ashok Verma. Police is investigating after arresting the accused for smuggling 23 boxes of liquor.
