Bhopal: At least 8 people lost their lives when a bus from Bhopal skidded off the Madhya Pradesh highways and tumbled into a deep gorge in Maihar district recently, creating shock waves among the state’s political leadership. He also prayed to Baba Mahakal to help the injured get well soon. The Chief Minister has also directed that the injured should be taken to hospital for treatment. In his statement in social media networks, he mourned for the victims and promised to aid the families by offering some cash in the amount claimed by the family of the deceased.
It struck a massive truck and a passenger bus coming from Uttar Pradesh, and the tragic fatal accident led to the early demise of ten travelers, Dr. Yadav said: `’extremely tragic and heart-wrenching’. He led prayers for the souls of the deceased to get peace and comfort and said, “Standing with all bereaved families at this time of sorrow.” He has given the district administration work to provide proper treatment to the injured persons and disburse the required financial assistance to the next of kin of those who are martyred.
The tragic incident took place late Saturday night when a sleeper coach bus of Abha Travels bound for Nagpur from Rewa struck a standing truck at approximately Chaurasia Dhaba, near Nadan police station, where the truck was under a crash. The force of the crash was huge and six of the passengers were killed on the scene while other passengers’ bodies were locked in the debris and it took the help of gas cutters to remove the dead bodies. JCB machinery was also used to force open the bus door to pull out affected individuals.
Overall, three more victims died during the treatment, making a total of nine deaths: seven males and one child. Besides, nearly 24 passengers were injured in the Maihar bus accident and are being treated in several medical facilities at the moment.
