Bhopal: With the assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, the current BJP government is working hard to gain support from groups of voters. Among these groups, the state’s employees have been receiving attention. Recent decisions made by the government indicate their efforts to win over this segment.
There are rumours that Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan might make an announcement on Independence Day, which could greatly benefit the employees. Speculations suggest that a cashless health insurance policy is being considered. If implemented, this policy would cover not employees but also those on contract, daily wage workers and retired pensioners in the state.
This potential move follows benefits that have been provided to the state’s workforce. For example, they have recently been granted a DA allowance. Additionally, the annual contractual renewal process has been eliminated to provide job security for contract employees. Moreover, these employees have been assured 90% of their salary of the previous 100% structure.
The proposed cashless insurance scheme aims to offer health coverage for all individuals.
The aim of this program is to provide beneficiaries with the convenience of receiving treatments without the need for payments. If implemented, this insurance plan could provide coverage worth up to Rs 5 lakh, which’s an advancement in employee well-being.
