Bhopal: Relief has come for the farmers of Madhya Pradesh as the soybean is going to be procured at minimum support price in the state. This calamity has given the Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan the approval of the Ministry to buy soybeans from farmers here in Madhya Pradesh at the MSP. The proposal for this was passed yesterday in the Mohan Cabinet, and immediately after that, the MP government forwarded the proposal to the Central Government, and they, too, had agreed at once.

On Tuesday, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said, “We are in constant contact with the Madhya Pradesh government. Though the soybean crop is yet to arrive in the markets, we have two procurement plans ready. The MP government can choose either of these plans to purchase soybeans at the Minimum Support Price, and we will provide immediate approval. ” He added a commitment that it is a priority of the Modi government to make sure

Shivraj Singh Chouhan added that the Central Government’s officials are in discussion with the MP administration regularly. He said, “I wish to clarify that while fixing a minimum support price the state governments are free to operate under any scheme they prefer while procuring commodities from farmers and doing so they can soon get clearance from us stating that they are using the procedures they intend to use to support farmers as they deserve. ”

It is relevant to the fact that on Tuesday, the most significant meeting of the state cabinet was held in the presence of Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav. During this meeting, a strategic decision was made to raise the MSP for Soybean. The MP government had suggested the Center enhance the MSP to ₹4800, and the house agreed to the proposed alteration immediately. This decision proves to be quite helpful to the growers of soybeans in the country as it will assure better returns for their efforts and yields.
