Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh gears up for Mission 2023 as preparations for the upcoming elections are underway. The focus for the Congress party, in this election year, lies on damage control. To address concerns and garner support, the Congress has organized a meeting aimed at appeasing the Sikh community. The gathering, hosted at PCC chief Kamal Nath’s residence, will involve the Congress’s Qaumi Ekta Cell, devising strategies to connect with the Sikh society and restore their faith in the party. The meeting is expected to witness a significant turnout of Sikh community members, aiming to address the image tarnished during recent incidents, including the one in Indore, which has left lingering discontent.

A significant meeting has been arranged between Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan to address the long-standing border dispute. The meeting, to be attended by over 15 collectors from both states, will also involve the presence of the respective Governors. Taking place in the auditorium of the divisional commissioner’s office in Udaipur, the meeting aims to find a resolution to the border disputes between districts such as Dholpur, Karauli, Sawai Madhopur, Bara, Banswara, Jhalawar, Kota, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Pratapgarh in Rajasthan, and Jhabua, Ratlam, Mandsaur, Neemuch, and Agar-Malwa in Madhya Pradesh. The authorities from both states are committed to finding a mutual solution through discussions.

Today marks the final day for employee transfers in Madhya Pradesh. Transfers of officers and employees at the district level will be processed only until today, after which a ban on transfers will be implemented. On June 14, the Shivraj cabinet decided to lift the ban on employee transfers in districts from June 15 to 30. Subsequently, in a cabinet meeting on June 27, the Chief Minister extended the transfer period until the present date. Transfers within districts were approved by the respective minister in charge, while transfers across districts and departments required higher-level approvals.
