Bhopal: In preparation for the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has been actively engaging with the public by making a series of announcements and fulfilling his promises. To connect with sections of society, he has introduced initiatives that cater to different demographics.

Recently, CM Chouhan took a step towards promoting gender inclusivity by announcing an increase in the reservation quota for women in the state’s police force. This builds upon his efforts in July when he handed over 250 scooters to police officers during an event in Bhopal. The aim was to empower women officers and enhance their effectiveness in dealing with crimes against women.

The rising prices of gas cylinders have been a matter of concern nationwide in Madhya Pradesh. Addressing this issue, CM Chouhan assured that during the month of Sawan cylinders would be available at a price of Rs 450, providing relief to households across the state.

In terms of electricity supply, consumers received some news from CM Chouhan. He stated on August 27th that despite increases, there would be no hikes in electricity bills. Moreover, he emphasized his dedication to individuals, especially women.

Chouhan has recently revealed his proposal to limit electricity bills to Rs 100. It is important to mention that there was an increase of 6 paise per unit in electricity rates in March, which led to significant protests throughout the state.
