Bhopal: On Saturday, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, introduced the phase of the Deendayal Rasoi Yojana. This initiative signifies a step towards ensuring that every citizen is adequately fed. By inaugurating 66 Deendayal Kitchen Centers, the state has taken a stride in its commitment to combat hunger. These centers will provide meals at a price of just Rs 5 per plate, thereby ensuring that no one goes without food.
However, Madhya Pradesh’s efforts extend beyond meals. In a move to address homelessness, the state government is granting land leases to individuals who are homeless. Through these leases, over 38,000 people will have the opportunity to construct their homes—a step towards providing shelter for vulnerable populations in the state.
The distribution of these land leases was held at the Kushabhau Thackeray International Convention Center. Chief Minister Shivraj made an appearance at 10;30 AM at the Kushabhau Thackeray Auditorium to kick off this event with traditional rituals such as Kanya Pujan and lighting a lamp symbolizing enlightenment and hope.
Prominent state leaders, including Bhupendra Singh, Minister of Urban Administration, and Vishwas Sarang, Minister of Medical Education, were present at this occasion. Before the event, Minister Bhupendra Singh highlighted that this third phase would witness kitchen centers being inaugurated across 66 areas.
With this expansion, the state now has a total of 166 Deendayal Permanent Kitchen Centers spread across. These centers are dedicated to providing meals at a price of just five rupees. This initiative further exemplifies the state’s unwavering dedication to promoting welfare and ensuring food security for all its residents.
