Bhopal: The increasing number of dogs in Madhya Pradesh in the capital city, Bhopal, has become a cause for concern due to incidents of fatal dog bites. Recently, there was an incident where a 4-year-old child lost their life after being attacked by a dog in Bhopal. Former Chief Minister Kamal Nath expressed his concern about this event and criticized the government for not taking appropriate action. He emphasized that it is heartbreaking to see children losing their lives to dog bites and stressed the need for attention and effective solutions from the government.
Kamal Nath took to social media platform X. Shared his thoughts, saying, “It is truly heartbreaking to hear about the death of a 4 year old child due to a stray dog bite in Bhopal. Within 13 days another innocent life has been claimed by dogs.” He also highlighted a statistic by mentioning that more than 75 people are attacked by stray dogs daily in Bhopal alone. Considering this number is specific to the capital city, one can only imagine what it would be for the state.
Kamal Nath urged the government to take action and address this issue with seriousness. He commented, “This is an issue and its important for the government to actively address it by finding solutions. We require a rounded approach that prioritizes the protection of lives and guarantees safety for all.”
Notably, Bhopal has witnessed the tragic deaths of two children due to stray dog attacks, and in the Minal area, stray dogs had brutally attacked a 6-year-old, causing severe injuries.
