Mohan Yadav also paid visit to the kin of the victims who lost their lives in the dreadful fire incidence in Indore and promised all possible assistance by the state government. The Chief Minister, who is deeply grieved by the fact that lives have been lost, announced that the affected families would be given all the possible help.

In the visit, some of the members of the family had been concerned with the slow attitude of fire brigade and ambulance teams. Having noted down these grievances, the Chief Minister promised to ensure that this issue will be looked into in detail and responsibility established in case any shortcomings are detected.

The accident took place in the Tilak Nagar neighborhood and was claimed to have been caused by a short-circuit in an electric vehicle (EV) when it was charging outside an apartment complex. The sparks of the vehicle rapidly diffused to the house thereby catching the house ablaze in flames. Eight people died in the devastating fire, among them being the homeowner Manoj Pugalia and his pregnant daughter- in-law Simran.

It should also be noted that the Chief Minister emphasized the dangers of new technologies and indicated that a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) was going to be created regarding the secure use of EV charging systems and digital locks. He pointed out that more awareness and safety precautions were needed to see that such occurrences would be prevented in the future.

Technical specialists and officials have been sent to find out the cause of the issue in detail, as the government wants to make sure that the safety norms can be stricter, and no such tragedies can appear again.
