Bhopal: Tomorrow, July 14th, is the inauguration of the PM Shri Excellence College in Madhya Pradesh. Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, will initiate this program from the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Government Arts and Commerce College, Indore. In this event, the government sent 32 ministers to different districts. In the remaining districts, only local representatives of the collaborating institutions will be present. Therefore, the General Administration Department has passed the orders in this regard.

At present, 55 government colleges in all 55 districts of the state are in the process of being accredited as PM Shri Excellence Colleges. These colleges will be multidisciplinary with the permission to introduce postgraduate programmes. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will conduct the faculty induction on July 14th, the inaugural session.

In line with the New Education Policy, these colleges will offer multiple options for the courses being taught. They will also receive every appliance needed to provide a complete educational climate. The colleges that already exist undergo the process of upgrading the provision of better facilities in the new standards that have been set. There will also be recruitment of new teachers to teach the new courses and accommodate the large student body that will be admitted to the university in the future due to the expanded curricular provisions.

Thus, the vision of PM Shri Excellence Colleges is to enhance the quality of higher studies in Madhya Pradesh by providing the best facilities and discipline for different courses. This initiative, therefore, goes a long way in enhancing the openings for education and creating a sound system for higher learning in the state.

The facilities that are likely to be developed in these colleges include modern classes, new and efficient laboratories, stocked-up libraries, and many other facilities that would help improve the learning environment. It will be noted that high importance will be attached not only to scholars’ performance but to the students themselves and their future as members of modern society.
