Bhopal: Demand for highly sensitive announcement of all seats in Gwalior-Chambal region of Madhya Pradesh has been made, with the Bahujan Samaj Party urging Chief Election Officer Anupam Rajan. The BSP also calls for an increase in the number of security personnel. The Gwalior-Chambal region has several seats reserved for Dalit minorities. In preparation for the upcoming Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections on November 17, ambulances and two helicopters will be deployed. Helicopters will also be allocated for extremely sensitive areas, including Naxal-affected regions like Balaghat.
In anticipation of any emergency situations, ambulances will remain stationed. The state has completed preparations for polling across all 65,523 booths, with today marking the dispatch of polling teams. Fifty percent of the booths will be under scrutiny through webcasting. The Election Commission of India will directly monitor the proceedings via webcasting, ensuring transparency. Additionally, the commission will actively monitor social media platforms to address any issues or irregularities promptly.
The heightened security measures and the allocation of resources like ambulances and helicopters underscore the significance of ensuring a smooth and secure electoral process, especially in areas with a history of sensitivity and unrest. The demand for a sensitive announcement of seats in the Gwalior-Chambal region reflects the importance of addressing concerns related to fair representation and inclusivity in the electoral process.
As the state gears up for the crucial election day, the deployment of advanced monitoring technologies and emergency response resources demonstrates a commitment to conducting free, fair, and secure elections. The Election Commission’s emphasis on transparency through webcasting and vigilant social media monitoring aims to bolster public trust in the electoral process.
