Bhopal: A positive development for farmers in Madhya Pradesh has been announced by the Department of Farmer Welfare and Agriculture. The calendar for the procurement of crops at support prices has been released. The procurement of gram (chana), lentils (masoor), and mustard (sarson) in Madhya Pradesh will take place from March 25 to May 31. This year, the support prices have been fixed at Rs 5440 per quintal for gram, Rs 5650 per quintal for mustard, and Rs 6425 per quintal for lentils. This includes districts such as Rajgarh, Satna, Dindori, Vidisha, Sagar, Rewa, Narsinghpur, Datia, Raisen, Panna, Damoh, Mandla, Jabalpur, Shajapur, Anuppur, Sivani, Ashoknagar, Katni, Mandsaur, Agar, Sidhi, Singrauli, Sehore, Chhatarpur, Umaria, Shivpuri, Shahdol, Hoshangabad, Bhind, Ujjain, Chhindwara, Tikamgarh, Ratlam, Betul, Neemuch, Harda, and Dhar.

The procurement of mustard at support prices will cover 39 districts, including Bhind, Morena, Shivpuri, Mandsaur, Sheopurkalan, Gwalior, Balaghat, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Neemuch, Dindori, Mandla, Datia, Rewa, Singrauli, Agar, Guna, Panna, Ratlam, Satna, Ashoknagar, Shahdol, Vidisha, Rajgarh, Sivani, Anuppur, Sidhi, Jabalpur, Shajapur, Katni, Ujjain, Umaria, Raisen, Sagar, Hoshangabad, Damoh, Chhindwara, Betul, and Harda.
