Bhopal: From the 1st of October, Bhopal’s Raja Bhoj Airport will operate round the clock – round the year, which indicates a shift in its operational hours. In the beginning, the airport will need to start a trial period, which will be approximately fifteen days, and if all the indicators satisfy the laid down requirements, the airport will be able to start working twenty-four-seven. This decision goes further in anticipation of the winter Operation through checking of slots requested for night operations by airlines, which is an indication of people’s increasing preference for late-night flights.
It now runs daily between 6 AM and 10 PM and closes operations from 11 PM till the next morning. With this new development, Bhopal will join Indore airport as one of the two Madhya Pradesh airports now to allow night flying operations. The airport administration believes that this expansion will not only result in the growth of the number of flights but also result in the dramatic growth of passenger traffic.
The Director of Raja Bhoj Airport said that all preparations have been made for this change. Most importantly, this will be appropriate in operation for 24 hours, which will be crucial and sensitive to passengers with emergency medical conditions. Furthermore, introducing more international flights at the airport is possible because it refines its operations.
As to the new schedule, the organisation of the stand for parking of vehicles will also cover 24 hours per day, which means that the traveller can park the vehicle wherever he or she needs at any time of the day. Furthermore, necessities like food corners and other requirements for the train shall be available throughout the Transport Terminal, so all passengers will feel comfortable. The introduction of non-scheduled, medical, and emergency flights will also improve connectivity, making the Raja Bhoj industrial important for regional air transport.
