Indore: In Indore, Madhya Pradesh, more than 10 nursing students have fallen victim to food poisoning. All of them have been immediately admitted to the Emvay Hospital, where the condition of three students is reported to be critical. The nursing students from a private college in the Banganga area had undergone nursing training at the Mental Hospital. After having a meal at a restaurant, their health deteriorated.

Dr. P.S. Thakur, the director of Emvay Hospital, revealed that the private nursing college students had eaten outside. There were around 100 students from various private nursing colleges who had dined at a restaurant. Subsequently, they experienced food poisoning. As a precautionary measure, 10 students have been admitted to our hospital, and three of them are currently in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) due to the severity of their condition.

A call has been made to all private nursing colleges to provide information about their nursing students. If there are any health issues, they are advised to admit the students promptly for treatment either at Emvay Hospital or any nearby medical facility. It is essential to ensure that the well-being of the students is prioritized.

The incident unfolded as nursing students from private colleges sought training at the Mental Hospital. Post their training, more than 100 students chose to dine at a restaurant located just outside the Mental Hospital premises. Shortly after consuming the food, they began experiencing vomiting, prompting immediate hospitalization for the affected individuals.

The health authorities emphasize the importance of swift action in cases of food poisoning, urging private nursing colleges to cooperate in providing necessary details for effective medical intervention. The situation is being closely monitored to ensure the well-being and recovery of the affected students.
