Ujjain: Incidents of fire outbreaks are also escalating destructively as the temperature rises in Madhya Pradesh. There have been reports of fire accidents almost every day in various parts of the state. Farmlands are among the most affected areas, and standing crops there are on fire, catching and causing heavy losses to farmers.

Also, in a recent series of similar incidents, a huge fire ripped through the Bhairunda market area in Sehore district and an oil mill in Ujjain. Property damage worth several lakhs of rupees was caused due to the prompt action of the fire brigade teams that managed to bring under control the flames eventually.

Three main shops in JP Market, Bhairunda’s Budhni engulfed in fire, including Super Footwear, Choice Collection and Bhaiya Pustak Sadan. All three were completely gutted. The fire spread so rapidly because of the highly flammable valves, shoes, plastic items and stationery products. Rehti and Budhni firefighting units rushed towards the scene and worked hard to tame the fire. It is also not known if the fire was started purposely; a search is being made by local police.

Fierce fire also erupted at Ramesh Oil Mill situated on Maksi Road industrial area in Ujjain, as yet another incident was reported.
