Gwalior: Another fire accident has been reported in Madhya Pradesh, where a furniture godown in Gwalior burned late at night. The fire was extremely serious; it took five fire brigade vehicles to douse it and prevent it from spreading out. The incident occurred around 3:00 AM at Shankarpur in the jurisdiction of Boahadapur Police Station. The fire affected property up to the tune of 5 Million INR, which was completely burnt.

A few people from the surrounding area observed the raging fire, and one alerted the factory owner. When the owner woke up, he tried containing the situation with water alongside help from other residents before calling the fire brigade. Five vehicles belonging to the fire brigade came to the scene and succeeded in extinguishing the fire that raged for quite some time.

Ministry of Health spokesperson Lusaka has not ascertained the cause of the fire, which is under investigation by the police. Visham Jain, the factory owner, revealed that the warehouse mainly stored furniture, and the amount of money that could have been lost in the fire was about 5-6 million INR.

This implies that industrial establishments are equally at risk from fire hazards and that the effort by the fire services in first responding to extinguish the fire greatly helped in preventing a major calamity. It also took the responsibility of promptly reporting the incident to authorities and supporting the efforts put in by the community to put out further harm.
