Keshuram Ninama and his supporters have been registered as an FIR in Ratlam seven days after an incident where a liquor shop was closed on force. This was done after a written complaint given by the excise department claiming that it was interfering with the operations of a licensed outlet illegally.

It is said that the incident had occurred on the night of March 15, 2026, around 10 pm in the village of Shivgarh located in the Sailana area. As officials explained, Ninama together with a set of supporters walked to the liquor shop that was close to the bus stand and purportedly closed down business by drawing down the shutter and padlocking it. The abrupt turn of the action made everything unstable and created tension between those who were at the site.

The officials claimed the store was out of business some time because of the incident and the excise department made a formal complaint. On the basis of this, a case involving Ninama and others was registered by the police after the initial investigation.

It has also been reported that a local dispute might have led to the confrontation although the causes of the act are also under investigation. Police officials have affirmed that they are still investigating further to establish the entire chronology of events and who was to be held accountable.

The case has attracted attention in the region, with concerns raised on how local governance and regulation enforcement are being strained.
