Dhar: Former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh and current Rajya Sabha Member Digvijay Singh has made a statement regarding the visits of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to the state. According to Singh, it seems like Prime Minister Modi is eyeing the Chief Minister’s position for himself with his repeated visits. This remark by Digvijay Singh sheds light on the increasing dynamics and competition in Madhya Pradesh.
As a figure in the Congress party, Digvijay Singh expressed doubts about the leadership of individuals within the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the state. He raised questions about the promises made by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and other BJP leaders. Singh voiced concerns about rising inflation, unemployment, corruption and growing public dissatisfaction that are becoming more apparent as time goes by. Singh also questioned why, over 20,000 promises made by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and his party since they came into power in 2003 have not been fulfilled yet. Additionally, he mentioned corruption allegations related to the Vyapam scam.
Furthermore, he expressed his concerns, about the discrepancies in the hiring procedures within the government implying that instances of corruption continue to persist in these processes.
