The assault and vandalism case that has emerged in broad daylight in the Kotwali police station area is shocking news that casts doubt on the security of the population. The event happened in an insurance office in the immediate vicinity of the BJP office, in which a man who was identified as Akash Chaurasia was violently assaulted by three unknown boys.

Pollution of Chaurasia by the accused apparently happened without any prior indication, as the accused suddenly entered the premises of the office and started beating Chaurasia. Two young women staff were in the office at the moment as well. They are alleged to have been prevented from stepping out of the workplace by the attackers, creating panic and fear within the workplace.

Not only did the attackers attack Chaurasia, but they also vandalized it. During the scene, they were reported to have destroyed a parked car outside the office. The violent attack led Chaurasia to sustain some serious injuries, such as a broken hand and a variety of wounds on his body. After the incident, the victim filed a complaint at the Kotwali police station.

In the meantime, CCTV footage of the event has leaked and is quickly going viral on social media. The video, believed to have been captured two days ago, shows the sequence of events and is likely to be key to identifying the accused. According to sources, the attackers had been in the area for the three days leading up to the attack and had done a recce of the area.

It is also alleged that there are certain aversions that the accused youths might be associated with business circles in Delhi, but this has yet to be confirmed by the police. The Kotwali police have launched a thorough investigation and are scrutinizing CCTV footage to identify and arrest the perpetrators.

The police have given an assurance that once the accused are found, stern measures would be dealt.
