Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, has seen an increase in fearlessness by criminals in recent days. Although the Commissioner System has been introduced, offenders do not seem to be afraid of the police. They have been emboldened to break into the various homes with their weapons, even threatening old women and elderly citizens.

This was the latest incident, which took place in front of the Apollo Surgical Bhopal Blood Bank at Talaiya police station area. It is reported that two miscreants, Anam and Khizar, allegedly armed, attempted to intimidate residents. Another two individuals illegally put up a tea stall in a narrow alley where there is no public space for another blocker of traffic, which caused inconvenience to the residents.

Locals have said that this is an unauthorized tea stall that has transformed into a hub of criminal activity. This place attracts anti-social elements who come here day and night for drinking, being abused and having frequent brawls. The presence of these activities led to protests by the residents, which were retaliated by the criminals, who started brandishing knives and eventually tried to attack them.

On Monday, residents objected to the verbal abuse from the miscreants, and the most recent altercation took place. The accused quickly turned the confrontation into a physical fight in which he brandished weapons and assaulted his neighbours. CCTV of the incident emerged, where the criminals threatened the residents with sharp weapons.

Locals also fear that this illegal establishment is a serious threat to public safety. The reports say that arms are being kept there, supposedly to run a tea stall. Additionally, there is a nearby school that places children and women in danger when it is not possible for them to pass through because it is so near.

So, residents urge authorities to take action immediately before a major incident.
