Bhopal: The chief minister of Madhya Pradesh has stated that the illegal colonizers in Bhopal, the capital of the state, will not be spared any longer. In areas where the colonies are typically located but it is claimed that there are no plots, the administration will take over such inadequate claims and sell the plots. It is widely anticipated that this development will also have a ripple effect on the residents.
This clamp down on the illegal colonies in Bhopal will involve serious measures being taken against those who engage in the illegal development of the land. Where there are colonies showing that all plots have been booked and no vacant places left, respective actions shall be implemented directly on the colonizers. The current administration cannot perform these activities because these areas do not have vacant plots, so they will be forced to apply to legalise their colonies. Any necessary developmental work, such as putting in necessary amenities, will only be done once the applications are granted.
Whenever regions, including the colonies, have not yet fully developed the plots, and there are available vacancies, the administration will continue the auctions of these unoccupied plots. These colonies will be legalized by the collected money from such auctions and monies charged from the residents. Once these areas are legalized, they will be connected to services such as water and electricity, have well-professed roads drill, and any other service fundamental to any other part of the city will be extended to these areas.
This integration of demands is an attempt to offer a working strategy towards the growing problem of Illegal colonisation in the Bhopal region. For making the colony legal the administration wants to make a proper plan for the actual and the proposed colonies where some of them are recognized legal colonies while the other are partially legal colonies prejudicial to urban development.
Out of the two immediate challenges affecting the occupants of illegal colonies, the first one will be to seek legal approval for the occupation of their properties through legal means, which will entail the expending of funds and time. Hence, the benefits in the case of long-run are the fees for land forms and the access to other primary municipal utilities.
