The state of such affairs in the Madhya Pradesh Congress does not seem to be absolutely stable. With the new move to cancel the committee established under the Talent Hunt programme of the party, political activity has been on an upsurge following the resignation of a senior office-bearer. It is against this backdrop that the Madhya Pradesh Congress posted an official message in social media to make the issue clear. The resignation of Mukesh Nayak, the President of State Congress Media Department, was specifically covered by the post. The statement also says that Mukesh Nayak had resigned under personal and family reasons.
The party leadership has however come out strongly to dismiss resignation. According to the post, Madhya Pradesh congress president Jitu Patwari refused to accept the resignation of Nayak and had full faith in his leadership and contribution to the organisation. The party highlighted the move to have been made in the greater cause of organisational unity and stability since the Congress is currently working to consolidate its internal framework.
This was also accompanied with the statement that Mukesh Nayak would still go on with his duties as the President of the Media Department as he has been doing so far. The leadership restated the fact that he will be instrumental to strengthening the communication strategy of the party and that the party will have a strong and effective presence of the media throughout the state.
With this clarification, the Congress in Madhya Pradesh was trying to put an end to the speculation on internal discord and give a resounding message that they were continuing and holding together. The social media post by the party highlighted the fact that the internal problems were being solved through dialogue and coordination, and that the senior leadership would stick to collaborating to build organisational strength and future political goals of the party in the state.
