Bhopal: After imposing two years of criminal imprisonment on two former Congress leaders of Madhya Pradesh, the Pradesh Congress Committee is likely to take necessary action as per the outcome of the court order. The counsel representing the Congress in the present matter is the senior official of the Congress Legal Cell, J.P. Dhanoipia, who has come up with a statement regarding the court’s ruling and decision. Dhanoipia pointed out that although the party cannot say anything about the court’s judgments, the doors for democratic restitution through the courts are still available.

The two convicted individuals were former Congress MLA Vipin Wankhede and the spokesman, Vivek Tripathi, who got their punishment from the MP-MLA Court located in Bhopal. This judgment was passed concerning a protest demonstration in a case that was heard and determined in 2016. The opportunity to decide is quite significant since the individuals were earlier seen when they were in a demonstration as NSUI, which is the Congress student wing, had laid siege to the CM’s residence.

Thus, Dhanoipia’s statement provides insight into the contemporary conflicts and difficulties of the Indian opposition. He also said that while there are cases invoking legal action against the opposition, their function to express concern and rally people for demonstrations in the country’s democracy cannot be denied. It also supports the Congress party’s view on maintaining identity rights and confidentiality, besides supporting legal stirs among the masses.

The legal Cell of the Congress party is now studying the enforcement of the court to look further. This development shows the relationship between lawful decisions and political engagement with the party servant to guard its citizens’ rights even as it proceeds in democratic endeavors.
