GWALIOR – Today marks the inauguration of Madhya Pradesh’s second Regional Tourism Conclave, a two-day event poised to transform Gwalior and its surrounding regions into premier tourist destinations. The conclave, themed “Timeless Gwalior: Echoes of Culture, Spirit of Legacy,” is being held at the Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Agricultural University. It aims to attract significant investment and foster partnerships that will boost tourism in the Gwalior-Chambal and Sagar divisions.
In fact, through Gwalior Regional Tourism Conclave, an initiative has been taken to promote tourism in the region. Along with this, it is also going to become a big medium to attract tourists from major tourist places, including Delhi and Agra. This conclave will be inaugurated today. During this, an influencers meet will be organized on the first day. After this, B2B & B2G with stakeholders will also be organized in the evening. The conclave will conclude tomorrow in the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. On the last day, CM will hold 121 discussions with investors. He will hold discussions with about 21 investors in four VIP cabins.
More than 18 companies are expected to attend the conclave. MoUs will also be signed with investors. There is a possibility of investment of about 4500 crores in the tourism sector through this conclave. Apart from this, the CM will also launch five important projects related to tourism. During this, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar, Madhya Pradesh Tourism Minister Dharmendra Singh Lodhi will also be present.
There is immense potential of tourism in the Gwalior Chambal region
PS Shivshekhar Shukla of Madhya Pradesh Tourism says that the objective of this conclave is not how much investment will come. It is important for us to bring tourists coming to the Delhi Agra Jaipur triangle to Madhya Pradesh so that it becomes a diamond ring. There is a lot of potential for tourism in Gwalior Chambal region. Gwalior Fort will be added to the UNESCO list. There are also immense possibilities of film tourism here. Work is also being done to ensure that local crafts get a global market.

- Foundation stone will be laid for conservation, landscaping and illumination work of Gwalior Fort
- The foundation stone of Swadesh Darshan Yojana 2.0 will be laid
- The foundation stone for the construction work will be laid at Mansingh Tomar University
The conclave’s emphasis on public-private partnerships and showcasing the region’s rich cultural and historical assets is a strategic move to position Gwalior on the global tourism map. With the participation of key figures and a strong focus on tangible outcomes, the event is set to significantly advance the state’s tourism goals.
