Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav launched the ‘School Chale Abhiyan’ at the state-level Praveshotsav program-2026 organized at Model Higher Secondary School, Bhopal. He said that this campaign will be run across the state from April 1 to April 4, with the aim of connecting every child to school. On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced that 4 lakh bicycles will be distributed in the next 3-4 months to facilitate children from remote and rural areas in commuting to school. Apart from this, the government is providing books, uniform money and other necessary facilities to the students.

Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the state has completely eliminated dropout rates, which is a major achievement in the education sector. Total enrollment in the state has increased by 19.6 percent, while in government schools this increase has reached 32.4 percent. This year, a target of 14.5 million enrollments has been set. The admission process for classes 1, 6, and 9 has been simplified.

Chief Minister’s Major Announcements

  • Under the New Education Policy-2020, 49 new Hindi books are being prepared and distributed in 69 tribal areas.
  • 1913 hostels are being run for students of Scheduled Caste category, whose total capacity is 95 thousand.
  • About 20 lakh students are studying in 25,439 Scheduled Caste schools.
  • Till now uniforms have been distributed to 55 lakh students.
  • Laptops were given to 99,710 students in the year 2024-25 and 94,306 students in 2025-26.
  • Commitment to provide laptops to students scoring more than 75% marks.
  • A scheme to provide scooties to top scoring students has been started by making a provision of ₹250 crore in this year’s budget.

The Chief Minister stated that the education system has been strengthened by appointing 76,325 teachers in the state. Equipped with modern facilities, Sandipani Vidyalayas and PM Shri Schools are becoming centers for the all-round development of children. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said, “Our commitment is to ensure that every child attends school, gets educated, and moves forward in life.” The “School Chale Abhiyan” is being implemented in 55 districts and over 50,000 villages to ensure that every child gets to school.
