Gwalior. The government is constantly innovating to conserve and enrich forests in Madhya Pradesh. In this connection, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav visited the Gwalior Chambal region today. Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia departed by helicopter from the airport for Kuno National Park in Sheopur, where he will release alligators and turtles into the river.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, while speaking to the media during his visit to the Gwalior Chambal region, said that the forests of Madhya Pradesh are flourishing. Nine male and female cheetahs have been released from Botswana, Africa, by the Union Forest Minister. This has further enhanced Madhya Pradesh’s reputation and brought India a global name. Regarding wildlife, the cheetah, which had become extinct in Asia, is now fully populated. We are pleased that with these nine, there are 48 cheetahs in Madhya Pradesh.

The Chief Minister further stated that Madhya Pradesh has the highest number of tigers, leopards, and cheetahs in the country, and is also number one in the country, especially in the gharial population. Recent census data on vultures is also enriching the numbers.

Even today, we are pursuing the Madhya Pradesh government’s plan to promote our aquatic life by releasing alligators and turtles into the Kuno River. Therefore, this is the most prosperous area of the Chambal region, based solely on wildlife, with employment opportunities in the tourism sector. I hope we all benefit from this.
