Bhopal. On the occasion of Chaitra Navratri and the Hindu New Year, the Shailputri form of the goddess is worshipped. On the first day of the new year, there is a crowd of devotees in the goddess temples since morning. People have been reaching the temple since morning. Everyone is starting the new year with worship.
CM Dr Mohan Yadav will attend Vikramotsav-2025 in Ujjain today. He will perform the Bhoomi Pujan of Veer Bharat Museum. Light and sound shows will also be inaugurated at Rudra Sagar. Samrat Vikramaditya Heritage Hotel will also be inaugurated. Vikram Panchag-2082 will be released, and a drone show will be presented in the program. A grand fireworks display will also be done on the evening of New Year Chaitra Pratipada. The Chief Minister will also honor book-writing scholars. Avanti Gaurav Samman will also be awarded.
‘Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan’ launched today
The Chief Minister will launch the ‘Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan’ today. This mega campaign will run from March 30 to June 30. Works will be done for cleaning of water reservoirs, plantation of trees and conservation of water structures. The CM will start the campaign with Varun (water god) worship and Jalabhishek on the banks of Shipra. The Chief Minister will inaugurate one small and big water structure every day. 90 small and medium irrigation projects will be inaugurated. Water conservation and promotion works will be done in the watershed area of more than 50 rivers. 1 lakh Jaldoots will be prepared in the state by selecting 2 to 3 men and women from each village.
Chief Minister will get the title
Today CM will confer D Litt degree to Dr Mohan from Vikram University. Kamlesh D Patel of Ramchandra Mission Heartfulness Institute is also being awarded this degree for promoting the spirit of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” globally. The glorious tradition of Vikram University will be seen in the convocation. 70 students will be awarded degrees and 99 students will be awarded medals and 2 researchers will be awarded D Litt degree.
Earlier, then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, Peethadheeshwar Mahamandaleshwar Avdheshanand Giri of Juna Akhara, Lt. Colonel Rajvardhan Singh Rathore, former judge Rameshchandra Lahoti, Somayaji Dixit, IFFCO Managing Director Udayshankar Awasthi, senior journalist Alok Mehta and Padma Bhushan Dr. Anil Kohli have received the degree. Governor Mangubhai Patel and Vice Chancellor Prof. Arpan Bhardwaj will confer this degree in the convocation.
