Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated the three-day pulse polio vaccination campaign. He administered polio vaccine to children. 39.19 lakh children will be administered polio vaccine in 18 selected districts of the state.

On this occasion, Dr. Mohan Yadav said that two drops of polio vaccine not only protect a child for life, but it is also the foundation for building a healthy, strong and self-reliant nation. He appealed to all parents that no child should be deprived of taking the polio vaccine.

The Chief Minister said that a disease like polio can make a child dependent for life, therefore it is the duty of every citizen to eradicate it completely. He informed that in this three-day campaign being run in 18 districts of the state, more than 64 thousand vaccinators will administer the vaccine through more than 24 thousand pulse polio booths. In addition, children will be administered the polio vaccine through mandatory door-to-door visits, so that every child can remain safe from polio and remain healthy throughout their life.

Making Healthy & Strong India

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that more than 39 lakh 19 thousand children of the targeted age group will be administered polio vaccine in 18 selected districts. CM Yadav launched the three-day (12 to 14 October) Pulse Polio Vaccination Campaign at the Chief Minister’s residence on Sunday morning. He inaugurated the vaccination campaign by administering two drops of polio vaccine to 12 small children. CM Yadav said that if we all keep administering two drops of polio vaccine to our small children every time, only then our victory against polio will continue.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh is moving forward firmly towards realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s resolve of a “healthy and strong India.” Describing public participation as the biggest strength of this campaign, he said that if we get support from every household, our state will definitely become “completely polio-free Madhya Pradesh.”

Municipal Corporation Chairman Kishan Suryavanshi, Principal Secretary Public Health and Medical Education Sandeep Yadav, State Vaccination Officer Dr. Saurabh Purohit, along with senior officials of the Health Department, doctors, Anganwadi workers and public representatives were present at the program.
