Another major development was on the part of the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav when he, on Friday, opened new CT scan and MRI machine units added to Hamidia Hospital in Bhopal, taking the state one step closer to improving the availability of modern diagnostic tools to patients across the state.
The Chief Minister, in his inaugural speech, emphasized that the government would remain committed to the improvement of the healthcare infrastructure in the state of Madhya Pradesh. He reported that this has seen the city of Bhopal under modernization at a rapid rate, being a divisional hub and state capital. According to Dr. Yadav, these new CT and MRI machines are life-saving and can be used in critical cases as well. He also said that diagnostic facilities are very much necessary to cure patients through these facilities as well.
The Chief Minister reiterated the fact that the state government has been in the process of providing advanced technology to the public hospitals in order to ensure that there is equal access to high-standard health facilities. The state of Madhya Pradesh currently possesses more than 40 medical colleges, which demonstrates that the administration has paid much attention to the sphere of medical education and improvement of the sphere of public health.
He also stated that additional measures were put in place, like 25000 of immediate aid to treat the victim of a road accident in the first hour, so that the treatment could not be delayed in case of life-saving ones. Also, the government has come up with a special policy to develop hospitals into medical colleges, wherein the government is giving 25 acres of land for only one rupee, the first time such a policy has been implemented in the country. This scheme has already sanctioned four medical colleges, with more of them waiting to be sanctioned.
Dr. Mohan Yadav appreciated the efforts of the doctors and staff of Hamidia Hospital and assured people of this state of accessible and modern healthcare services. His point of emphasis was that the changing healthcare model of Madhya Pradesh is acting as a role model to other states.
