Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav was seen paying a visit to Narmadapuram on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami, Lord Shri Ram’s birthday. During his visit, he arrived at revered Darbar Kuti, where he performed sacred nature worship with Dada Guru Bhaiya Sarkar. Chief Minister later offered his prayer, got blessings, and left to proceed with his spiritual journey in Maihar district.
Expressing on the occasion that environmental and spiritual initiatives of the state government have been continually kept, CM Mohan Yadav addressed the media. According to him, the Madhya Pradesh government started ‘Jal Ganga Sanrakshan Abhiyan’ (Water and River Conservation Campaign) beginning March 23 and will run till June 30. Among the many ambitious campaigns, one is to develop and preserve the entire parikrama path, which the pilgrims travel along as a circumambulation of the sacred Narmada River.
The Chief Minister underlined the cultural and spiritual significance of such a region. According to him, Lord Ram had spent 11 years of his exile in the territory that is now a part of Madhya Pradesh, mainly in the place of Chitrakoot. Speaking on the occasion, CM Yadav declared that he would be attending the grand Gaurav Diwas celebrations at Chitrakoot, including attending the divine Aarti of River Mandakini and honoring the sacred heritage of this region.
Promising to continue promoting religious tourism and safeguarding natural and spiritual landmarks in the state, he reaffirmed his government’s commitment to the cause. He also said that these celebrations are not only to honor Lord Ram’s legacy but a path to cultural revival and environmental sense. Such events are intended to make the people attach themselves to their roots and also lead them to be responsible for saving the environment.
