On Monday, the Chief Minister, Dr. Mohan Yadav, will present a special gift to the beneficiaries of the Ladli Behna (Beloved Sisters) scheme of Bargi in Jabalpur. CM Mohan will also give 1,551.44 crore of the fund to be given away to women beneficiaries of the different welfare programs directly to their bank accounts. This was initially to take place on June 13, but was delayed because of a tragic plane crash in Ahmedabad.

The transfer is the 25th edition of the Ladli Behna Yojana, a pioneering welfare scheme to empower women throughout Madhya Pradesh. Besides this, CM Yadav will also take the initiative of the release of funds in a one-click transaction model for various other important schemes.

On the Social Security Pension Scheme, around 341 crore will be deposited into the account of around 56.68 lakh beneficiaries. The pensions play a vital role in helping the older citizens, bowed widows, and disabled persons.

In addition, 27 lakh women will also be benefiting to the tune of 39.4 crores under the Cylinder Refilling Scheme, where each woman would get a chance to rely on cleaner cooking fuel in the state government initiative called subsidized LPG.

In line with this, the beneficiaries of the Sambal Yojana will also be provided with the due financial support to the needy workers and the less privileged families as well on the occasion.

CM Yadav not only will have to distribute such welfare benefits, but will also come and lay foundation stones of some developmental projects, and also inaugurate some of them. These comprise infrastructural projects and welfare policies within the state, and it once again substantiates the commitments of the state government regarding inclusive growth and women’s empowerment.

The theme of the mega event highlights the intention of the Madhya Pradesh state government to pursue transparent and tech-driven governance and the effort to improve the lives of all women and downtrodden sections of society.
