Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav appreciated the police for the sweet operation and successful arrest of a suspect connected with the banned terrorist outfit Indian Mujahideen at Khandwa town. While campaigning at Chhindwara, Dr. Yadav highlighted terrorism, a menace to the nation, and said that the Madhya Pradesh police are prepared to tackle any situation. On Thursday, in the morning at about 04:30 AM, the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) raided Khandwa and arrested two youths, one of whom was a juvenile. Mobile phones and social networks were the main indicators that formed the basis of the operation. The ATS arrested one accused Faizan residing at Kanjar Mohalla, Saluja Colony, and one minor boy from Gulmohar Colony for questioning.
Relevantly, STF West Bengal had arrested Rakib earlier for his nexus with the banned terrorist outfit SIMI. NIA had also carried out a search at Rakib’s residence in this regard. In the case, the alibi that was uncovered was that Rakib was planning a large-scale attack. Rakib was also identified as developing a new network of acquaintances within the Nimar region of Madhya Pradesh through the internet and social-related sites. There are documents that were recovered from him that would have illustrated his plans. The two persons picked by the ATS are still being grilled, and through further interrogation, more information about the SIMI terrorist network in Madhya Pradesh shall be obtained.
The comments made by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav show the continued process of defeating terrorism and the constant activity by the state’s police and other forces to eliminate this menace. The policeman said thanked the police in this country and demonstrated that they are hard-working in preventing crime and guaranteeing the stability of the country. Dr. Yadav emphasized the so-called vigilance and timeliness in bearing threats and thereby demonstrated confidence in the Madhya Pradesh police force.
The recent operation in Khandwa is evidence of the optimistic approach central to terrorist activities and the well-being of its residents.
