Bhopal: The recent state government under Dr. Mohan Yadav in Madhya Pradesh has made a major decision to make changes to the structure of distributing financial help to families of the martyrs. Earlier, the amount of one crore rupees granted by the state government as financial assistance after a soldier’s martyrdom was imparted only to the soldier’s wife and children. However, a new policy has taken root in dividing this amount between the soldier’s wife and his parents.
This decision was made during Mohan Yadav’s critical cabinet meeting before the onset of the assembly session. The attack of the meeting centered on the plight of the families of the soldiers and police personnel who have died while serving their country. The cabinet concluded that the financial assistance that the government aims to provide should be split in half, whereby the wife of the martyr should receive 50% of the financial assistance, and the parents of the martyr should receive the other 50%. This step is envisaged as an attempt to draw attention to, as well as pay respect to, the role and effort not only of a soldier’s parent but also of his wife.
They showed that the government is careful to see that every need and the respect deserved by the families of martyrs is being fully toned and provided for. Through this formula, 50-50, the government comprehends the vital part that parents have to offer a soldier or breadwinner with their sacrifices.
In prior cases, the financial aid of one crore rupees is provided to the martyr’s wife and children only, often forgetting the parents’ contribution. This new policy will create a more balanced and fair environment in Madhya Pradesh through the concerned government.
