Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will not appear before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) today. Sources reveal that the chief minister has demanded the ED to withdraw its notice, claiming it to be ‘illegal and politically motivated’. The ED summoned him for questioning in money laundering case to record his statement at 11 AM today at Delhi office.

Further questioning the dignity of ED, Aam Admi Party posted a video with the caption, “The British police who needed a warrant to go to someone’s house. But ED itself decides whose house it has to go to without a warrant. Everyday there is news of big scams of BJP. Why doesn’t ED visit any BJP Chief Minister or Minister?”.

Earlier on October 31, ED summoned Kejriwal for questioning in money-laundering case related to the excise policy. The summon was issued under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). ED has cited Kejriwal’s name in its chargesheets multiple times, asserting that the accused has been in contact with the AAP leaders multiple times while framing Delhi Excise Policy.

Meanwhile, CM Kejriwal will hold a road show along with Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann in Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh today.
