Haridwar: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Dr. Mohan Yadav, visited Haridwar today to attend the foundation stone-laying ceremony of Patanjali Gurukulam and Acharyakulam. The event witnessed the presence of Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. CM Dr. Yadav was honored with the prestigious ‘Sanatan Bhushan’ award by the Akhil Bharatiya Akhada Parishad during the program.
The ceremony, titled “Sanatan Bhushan Samman and Sant Samagam,” was graced by revered saints and spiritual leaders, including Shrimant Raviendra Puri Maharaj, Swami Paramanand Giri Maharaj, Shankaracharya Raj Rajeshwaranand Ashram Maharaj, and Avadhoot Arun Giri Ji Maharaj, among others. The Chief Minister, in his address, expressed gratitude for being conferred with the ‘Sanatan Bhushan’ honor by the Akhada Parishad.
Dr. Mohan Yadav highlighted the significance of Gurukul education in Indian tradition, drawing parallels with the teachings of Lord Rama and Lord Krishna in the Treta and Dvapara Yugas, respectively. He commended the new Gurukul being established in Haridwar and expressed confidence that it would fulfill its objectives and contribute to global human welfare.
The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of Gurukul and Guru in our rich cultural heritage, stating that they play a crucial role in shaping the character and values of individuals. He lauded the efforts of Yog Guru Ramdev in promoting Gurukul education and extended an invitation to initiate similar projects in Madhya Pradesh.
Furthermore, Dr. Yadav praised the ancient city of Ujjain, known as Avantika Nagari, where Lord Krishna received his early education in 14 sciences and 64 arts approximately 5,000 years ago. He also acknowledged the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in implementing the New Education Policy, aiming at holistic development and instilling humane values in every student.
In his concluding remarks, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav expressed confidence that under the guidance of Yog Guru Ramdev, the upcoming Gurukul in Haridwar would become a center for holistic education and contribute to the establishment of human values worldwide.
