Gwalior: Sitting in the central part of India, Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior city is heading for an IT-enabled service revolution. The Chief Minister, Dr. Mohan Yadav, is putting a lot of stress on the IT sectors, which means the development of this particular stream in this region. In accordance with this vision, the government is promoting investment in both information technology and electronic system design and manufacturing in the Gwalior region.

To take this forward, the Chief Minister, Dr. Mohan Yadav, will be attending the Regional Industry Conclave at Gwalior on August 28. On this occasion, he envisages having discussions with the relevant players in the quest to enhance investment in IT. It will be attempted to accentuate the opportunities and benefits which the geographical region of Gwalior-Chambal holds for the growth and development of industries with a special reference to the field of IT.

The IT sector is already a major contributor to the state’s economy, with a healthy input of five billion dollars to the state’s gross domestic product. At present, there are 15 IT parks, one of which is one of the largest IT parks under construction in Gwalior, spread over 75 acres. This park has a 73,000 sq ft IT building with 20,400 sq ft vacant, which remains available for lease to companies and investors.

The planned conclave is expected to enable potential investors to have an onslaught view of the industrial capacities and possibilities in the Gwalior-Chambal zone. Delegations from several countries, such as the Netherlands, Ghana, Canada, and Mexico, are expected to grace this occasion, thus pointing to the level of internationality of this event.

This specialized strategy by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will help Gwalior attract large investments and subsequently bring new growth and development of IT services in the area to make it the technology and innovation capital of Madhya Pradesh.
