Bhopal: The last stage of campaigning of the first phase of Lok Sabha elections, 2024, is going on these days. The first election round attracts voters on March 19th. Leaders from different parties like BJP and Congress are out at the last minute, making last-minute electoral canvassing tries. During this time, Madhya is Preparing for the whole party.
This, however, is very much against expectations and is the most striking remark made by CM Mohan Yadav has come out saying. For Chief Minister Yadav, this is an opportunity to taunt Congress. He is confident that the Congress from Madhya Pradesh will go for sure this time. Earlier, he told me that the parties are gearing up for the final stages of the election campaign as this phase is on and people’s support pours out for Modi in Madhya Pradesh. He also claimed that he has done a lot of statewide touring, and so far, the Krishi Anuvad campaign has become a ‘Modi-centric’ one. Congress does not seem to be even in a position to take 1 seat from the region.
In the constant disputes over internal policy and the conduct of candidates, the CM’s view is part of a fashionable disenchantment within the Congress. In their flow, one after another, people supporting Kamal Nath are leaving his party and joining BJP. The tendency of Congress to vacate Chhindwara clearly shows that the time has come for a change to make the town markedly distinguishable from others.
The Congress is obviously unhappy with the present air as some despondency is very clearly portrayed in their actions. While BJP politicians are coming out of Congress individually in Chhindwara, the possibility of Congress getting uprooted from Chhindwara seems more like a foregone conclusion.
