Burhanpur: It is a significant development for the people of Madhya Pradesh’s Burhanpur district with a new train stoppage being given. With the stoppage of the Jabalpur-Pune special train at Burhanpur railway station, the daily commuters, students, and professionals would get convenience. The small ceremony to signal the new stoppage was marked by a BJP MP from Burhanpur-Khandwa, Gyaneshwar Patil, underlining it with a traditional shawl and coconut and a flag off as the train proceeded to Pune.

The district took it as a gift on the occasion of Bharatiya Janata Party Foundation Day. Locals and railway staff were enthusiastic and grateful when the train arrived late in the evening. On the occasion of launching around 40 railway passenger services in the region, MP Patil, at the same time, thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for their continuous help in increasing railway connectivity in this region.

Patil spoke on the occasion that this train halt will have a positive impact on different segments of society. Many advocates, he said, often have a lot of journeys to Jabalpur, so the new stop will be more convenient. Moreover, there are a considerable number of students and working professionals out of Burhanpur who come to Pune for education and employment. They will make their journey more smooth and comfortable with the train halt.

For their part, the government conveys the idea of reform and regional development for the people, as well as an effort that supports the improvement of transportation facilities. The locals have widely appreciated the move to integrate Burhanpur with big cities like Jabalpur and Pune.
