BHOPAL: A theft took place in an abandoned house in the Katara Hills area, where the family had gone to visit Somnath and Dwarka on New Year. On returning, the lock of the house was found broken and the jewelry worth 5 lakhs missing. The police are investigating the matter.
ASI Arvind Singh said that Manish Shrivast does agriculture in Vidisha area. His family lives in Anadi Villa Colony, Khajuri Kalan in Bhopal, where his children study. On December 26, Manish had gone to visit Somnath and Dwarka with his family.
“When we returned home on Wednesday, all the jewelry including a gold chain, bracelet, earrings and mangalsutra kept in the house were stolen,” said Manish.
There is no CCTV installed in the house, due to which the accused could not be identified. The police are scanning the CCTVs installed in the surrounding areas.
