Bhopal: In the latest customer satisfaction survey, Raja Bhoj Airport has proved to be below par. According to a survey done in the first half of the calendar year 2024, Raja Bhoj Airport in Bhopal reached its lowest rank of 43. This is a marked decline from the previous two bi-annual survey results, where it performed excellently, coming out as the best. This time, it was rated a disappointing 3.7 out of 5 overall, it therefore reduce by 1.30 points, thus their ranking has decreased to forty-third place. This was seen in the last survey conducted between the period of July and December 2023, for which the airport recorded a commendable score of 5/5.

This survey was done on 61 domestic airports in the country. The Rajahmundry has emerged as the top rank in the Customer Satisfaction Survey, followed by Gaggal (Kangra), Leh, Madurai and Visakhapatnam airports.

The survey aimed to give a rating on 28 aspects, including parking, trolleys, time taken to check in, efficiency of workers, demeanour of security, and orientation. This caused a decline in its ranking; however, the airport with the lowest rankings in these areas is Raja Bhoj Airport.

However, Khajuraho Airport has delivered good performance, and it ranks 10th with a score of 4.76 out of 5. This has placed it as the best airport in the state currently. Whereas Gwalior Airport has also upgraded its ranking to 12, Jabalpur Airport has a ranking of 31.

They suggest that the Raja Bhoj Airport should try to bring some of those parameters up again to be able to return to the level of the best airports. Measures aimed at raising the level of consumers’ satisfaction by increasing the quality of services and infrastructures will be important for future surveys.
