Bhopal: In the city of Bhopal, an alarming incident of assault has come to light. Allegedly, a tribal woman fell victim to an assault by an employee of the Government Fair Price Society in the Tumada Gram Panchayat, located within the jurisdiction of the Khajuri Road Police Station.
Prompt action was taken when other individuals present at the society promptly informed the police about the incident. Subsequently, the accused employee managed to escape from the scene. Following the complaint lodged by the tribal woman, the police have initiated legal proceedings and registered a case against the alleged assailant.
As per available information, the incident took place on Tuesday when Kalibai, a woman belonging to the Bhil community, visited the Government Fair Price Society to collect her designated 50 rations. During the distribution process, society employee Om Nath informed her that a family member’s name would be struck off the ration card. This led to a heated argument between the woman and the employee. Suddenly, amid the altercation, Om Nath pushed Kalibai forcefully, causing her to fall. The incident quickly caught the attention of onlookers, who wasted no time in alerting the Khajuri Police Station.
Authorities, including the Dial 100 emergency response team, were promptly dispatched to the scene. However, by the time they arrived, the accused employee had already fled from the premises. Based on her detailed complaint, the police registered a case against the accused. Law enforcement officials stated that the employee, belonging to the Bhil community, engaged in a verbal dispute with the victim and subsequently resorted to physically pushing her. A search operation is currently underway to locate and apprehend the accused individual.
