Indirectly directed anger has been leveled at the present state leadership of the Congress Party by former Madhya Pradesh Congress president Arun Yadav, who has raised concerns about the way it has been doing things and where it is headed. Yadav also indicated, without mentioning anyone specifically, that the party should not expect to break divisive or otherwise toxic ideologies solely with talks and press releases. To him, the problems of the organization today cannot be solved simply through ideological profundity or even passive political involvement, but through active political participation.

Posting his ideas on the social media site X (now Twitter), Arun Yadav wrote that Congress would need to be more cohesive and firm in case it is indeed aiming to regenerate its political success in the state. He emphasized that the dream of establishing a government in Madhya Pradesh will only be achieved when the members of the party unite with strength, clarity, and a sense of commitment to their main philosophies.

Yadav also said that the leadership and honesty with which Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is fighting on the national platform should be exemplary to the leaders and workers of Madhya Pradesh. Even a small portion of the determination that Gandhi had taken would be applied at the state level, according to him, the struggle that the party would pursue would be much easier and more efficient.

In one interesting twist, the senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister, Digvijaya Singh, has come out in support of the position of Arun Yadav. Singh reposted Yadav on social media, which indicated the willingness to be supportive of the issues stated. His approval means that he is not the only individual unhappy with the existing organizational strategy, but it can translate to a wider spread of feeling among top leaders.

Politically, it has been an interest topic since the exchange highlights internal introspection in the Madhya Pradesh Congress despite the party being in need of reviving its presence in the political arena of the state.
